JANUARY 2008

Non-audition choir directed by Sara. The winter season begins this month and continues through April 15.

FEBRUARY 2008

February 1, 7pm, First Fridays Performance Series, Duluth Congregational Church, 3833 E. Superior St.

A series to benefit funding for the Two Harbors Folk Festival. This evening features Barton and Ross Sutter performing music and poetry, Bill and Kate Isles, and Sara. Pond Stage Productions.

February 17, 7:30pm, Sara's new CD Release Concert, Marshall School Fregeau Auditorium

1215 Rice Lake Road, Duluth. Local release concert for Sara's new CD Everything Changes.

Tickets $12 day of show, $10 in advance. Advance tickets available at Northern Lights Books, At Sara’s Table Chester Creek Café, and Electric Fetus.

Sara is the guest presenter for this luncheon event, one of a 3 part series on Prophetic Women Voices.

COST: $30/session, or $75/series; non-profit or senior: $25/session, $60/series.

March 8, 2-5pm, 6th annual Gather The Women event, Gorecki Center, College of St. Benedict St. Joseph, MN

Sara Thomsen and Paula Pedersen of the Three Altos, will present in song and story, facilitating conversation and self-reflection to foster intercultural understanding and appreciation—to hold our own part while harmonizing with others.

March 19, Three Altos meet with Rabbi Levi Weiman-Kelman at Kol HaNeshama, Jerusalem

Levi Weiman-Kelman is the rabbi of Kol Haneshama, a Reform Jewish congregation in Jerusalem. Rabbi Weiman-Kelman is a leader in Israeli/Palestinian peace efforts and interfaith dialogue, a leader in the Israeli Movement for Progressive Judaism, and is on the board of the Interreligious Coordinating Council in Israel (ICCI) and Rabbis for Human Rights.

Frank Jewell (longtime Duluth social justice and peace activist, among other things) is running for 1st District St. Louis County Commissioner. This will be an evening of comedy, music, and a chance to meet Frank in person.

Sara will be attending a workshop in England entitled "Carry It On," a skills training, support and networking weekend providing inspiration, ideas & refreshment to leaders of singing groups led by Frankie Armstrong and Rowena Whitehead, founder members of the Natural Voice Practitioners’ Network.
