Songwriting awards and recognition:

*Sara's song "Is It For Freedom" was a top finalist in the Public Domain Foundation's Music to Life Songwriting Contest (2001). The melody and chords to the song were published in Sing Out! Magazine, (Summer '03). The song has received a wide national and international listener response via its frequent airing on Amy Goodman's Democracy Now Radio and TV News program. The song was written in protest of the US sanctions, now war, with Iraq.
